How to Set or Reset Your Password
Upon enrollment or purchase of any product you will have an account automatically generated for you. You will also be sent an email explaining how to set or reset your password. If you have already set a password and wish to change it simply log into your My Account dashboard and change it from there.
If you have misplaced that email or forgot your password you can follow the directions below to set or reset your password.

Please be sure to choose a strong password containing numbers, letters, and a special character.
Claim, View, Verify eCards
Learn how to claim or view your ecard from the American Heart Association. Employers can also use this information to Verify an issued eCard too.
Claim your eCard via Email:
- You will receive an email from eCards@heart.org with a link inviting you to claim your eCard online. Please make sure to check your spam or junk folder. The link in the email will direct you to the Student Profile webpage; please confirm that all information on that page (First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone Number (if entered for claiming by SMS), eCard Code, Instructor Name is correct. If it is not, contact your Instructor.
- Set up your security question and answer. Accept the terms of the site and click “Submit.”
- Complete the survey on the course you just completed. Your answers to these questions will help improve the quality of future American Heart Association training.
- After you complete the survey, your eCard will display. You can save or print your eCard.
- Once your eCard has been claimed, you will receive an email notification; please save this confirmation email for your records.
- Claiming your eCard is the only way you can show proof of course completion to your employer. If you need to email your eCard, please see step 5 under “How to View your Claimed eCard”.
Claim your eCard via the eCards Site:
- Visit the eCards Search page. On the “Student” tab, enter your First Name, Last Name, and Email (ensure this is your email address that was used to sign up for the course) OR enter your eCard Code at the bottom of the page (ask your Instructor for this code). Click “Search.”
- If all the information was entered correctly, you will be brought to a page that shows “My eCards.” Look for your eCard that is “Unclaimed” and follow the steps through the site to claim your card, including setting up a security question and answer. If your eCard cannot be found, contact your Instructor to verify your information.
Note: your Instructor must have issued an eCard (not a printed course completion card) in order to claim a card online.
Claim your eCard via SMS text:
Note: In order for students to opt-in to this service, an Instructor, must FIRST enter the student’s mobile phone number in the eCards system when issuing an eCard.
- During or after class, (if your Instructor has entered your mobile phone number into the eCard system) opt-in to claim/view your eCard by texting “eCard” to the number 51736.
- If the message is sent correctly per the guidance of your Instructor, you will receive instructions via text message on how to claim your eCard.
- If a you attempt to opt-in and your number is not in the system, you will receive a message that your phone number was not found.
How to View your Claimed eCard:
- Visit the eCards Search page. On the “Student” tab, enter your First Name, Last Name, and Email (ensure this is the email address that was used to sign up for the course) OR enter your eCard Code at the bottom of the page. Click “Search.”
- Answer your security question.
- If all the information entered is correct, you will be brought to a page that shows “My eCards.” If your eCard cannot be found, contact your Instructor to verify your information.
- To download an eCard, select the size you would like (Full or Wallet) where it says, “View eCard.
- To email an eCard, select “Email Cards,” enter the email address, and click “Email.”
How an Employer Can Verify a Student’s Claimed eCard:
Note: The student must have claimed their eCard in order for an employer to view it.
- Visit the eCards Search page. On the “Employer” tab, enter the eCard Code (up to 20), and click “Verify.”
- The next page will show the eCard Status of the inputted code(s).
How to verify a RQI cert:
RQI stands for Resuscitation Quality Improvement. RQI is a joint program between the American Heart Association and Laerdal.
CompleteCPR LLC does not accept RQI certs for renewals.

How to verify a Red Cross cert:
Participants and employers can visit Red Cross Certificate Verification and enter the ID found on the digital certificate (or scan the QR code with a standard QR reader using a smart device) to access a copy of the valid certificate with student training information.

How Do I Get My HeartCode® Completion Certificate PDF?
It’s very easy.
Login to the American Heart Association eLearning website.
Once logged in click on your name at the top and select “My Certificates” from the drop down list as shown:
Alternatively you can also click on the “My Certificates” link as shown:
Once there you can download the Completion Certificate for the online portion of any HeartCode course you’ve successfully completed.
You can also email it right from there to staff@completecpr.com.

Whether you have completed a CPR & First Aid training course in-person or online, or if you have attended an American Heart Association event for which there are credits available, use the information below to claim and obtain your CME/CE certificate.
If You Attended an American Heart Association Class In Person
CompleteCPR instructors will initiate an American Heart Association sent email containing the link and information required to claim CE/CME/CEU for courses that offer continuing education credits. This only applies if you indicated on course paperwork that you want CE/CME credit which will allow us to include it on the course roster.
It is the responsibility of the American Heart Association Training Center, Training Site, or Instructor to submit the roster for CME/CE credits to the accrediting body.
- Before reaching out to your Training Center, Training Site, or Instructor first try to run a few searches in your email inbox to make sure you didn’t overlook the email with the link to claim your CME/CE credits. Search and make sure you don’t have any emails from no-eccreply@heart.org. If you did receive the email, click on the link inside the email body to claim your CME/CE. This link will take you to a form that must be filled out with all the requested information. Once submitted, you will be able to obtain your course completion and CE certificate
- If you cannot locate an email with that email address, reach out to your Training Center, Training Site, or Instructor to ensure they have submitted your student information and have sent an email to claim CME/CE credits
If You Took an American Heart Association Course Online through the American Heart Association’s Websites
If you completed your American Heart Association eLearning course online, you can claim your CME/CE credits on the site where you completed the course. CE credits can only be claimed once all components of the online course are complete.
- Login to eLearning.Heart.org (link opens in new window)
- Once logged in, on the upper right of your screen, select your name drop-down and select ‘Classes’
- Once on the My Courses page, select the “Completed Courses” tab, and look under the “CME/CE Credits” column. Note: To claim CME/CE, you need to have fully completed the online portion of the course, including the evaluation. Once completed, the course will appear in “Completed Courses”
- Follow the steps to download or complete information to claim your CME/CE credit
If You Attended an American Heart Association Sponsored Event In Person
If you attended a ECC Regional Conference
If you attended a live ECC event or session for which Physician, Nursing, or EMS Continuing Education credits are available, you are strongly encouraged to claim your CME/CE credit within 30 days of the conference. To do so, follow the instructions below:
- Access http://learn.heart.org
- Select Course Catalog
- Register for an activity
A. Utilize the search fields in the upper right-hand corner
Select the activity type (All, Live, or Online)
- Enter a partial activity name or keyword
- Enter the activity location address, city, or zip for live activities
- Select the magnifying glass icon
- Select Register for the selected activity
B. Select Register
C. Enter your Username and Password, and select Sign In
- If you do not remember your Username or Password, select the Forgot password? link
- If you are not a registered user, select Create an account to enter your account information and receive your Username and Password
D. You may be prompted to enter additional registration information
E. Enter the access code provided at the end of the session in the Access Code field
F. Select Submit to complete the enrollment
- Once enrolled, the activity completion pathway automatically displays
- Review the Activity Overview tab, scroll to bottom and select Continue
G. You may be required to check a confirmation box that you have read the information
- Select the Launch button to complete an evaluation on the course. This step is required to claim credit. Once complete, select Continue
- Claim your credit by selecting the Claim button for the appropriate accreditation
H. You may qualify for more than one credit type based on your user profile
I. ACCME and ANCC allow you to claim up to a maximum amount of credit commensurate with the extent of your participation in the activity
- Select Continue to generate your certificate
- Select the certificate link to print or save it
- Select Close. The activity is stored under Completed Activities
If you attended a different event through American Heart Association for which Continuing Education credit is available:
